Things to do in Seaport Village

We had our first real “Spring day” in San Diego this past weekend and we took full advantage and spent the day out at Seaport Village. If you’ve never visited Seaport Village, you need to add it to your things to do next time you are in San Diego. It’s a huge tourist spot so I suggest going early so you don’t hit big crowds.

We love going to Seaport Village for brunch when the weather is nice and always spend a few hours walking around since there’s so much to see and do.

For brunch, I recommend checking out Edgewater Grill. It’s worth the wait to get a table outside so you can have a view of water and people watch as you eat.

After brunch, check out all of the shops. They have everything from a store packed with hot sauce, to hammocks, to collectible souvenirs. It’s always fun walking into these shops and seeing what they have.

The girls’ personal favorite is the carousel. My mom said she used to take me when I was a kid and now they get to experience it. It’s $3 a ride and such a fun afternoon activity.

If you are there on the weekend, you’ll likely experience some live music. I’ve also seen face painting, artists, and clowns in the plaza at different times. You can sip on some margaritas and enjoy the sunshine.

There’s also a fair share of sweet treats– there’s a Ben & Jerry’s, chocolate shop and cupcake store all right next to each other. Save room for dessert because they are soo good.

If it’s a nice day, you can also rent a bike or go on a boat tour and cross to Coronado. It’s the perfect way to spend a spring day with the whole family!

Make sure you bring your camera fully charged because you’ll definitely want to take some photos all around the village.

You can shop the girls’ dress at Mila & Rose, shoes from Babychelle, and bows from Zozu Baby.
